Tanks for water storage, other liquids, sludges and grain
GLASS FUSED TO STEEL
It was in the decade of 1930 when the methodology of corrosion control by fusion of glass to steel was first discovered. This technology was initially used in the production of beer and in industries where hot water had to be stored. While other uses of glass-fused-to steel were being investigated, the first tank with this technology began operation in 1949, a silo for grain storage. This agricultural use for storing products while mantaining their quality has been widely used for almost 60 years to our days. In the decade of 1970, Engineered Storage Products Company created its Municipal and Industrial Division and afterwards launched tanks for water, wastewater and other industrial uses. More than 100.000 glass-fused-to-steel tanks have been installed in more than 70 countries worldwide. The new unique developments, such as the Vitrium™ glass coating and the Edgecoating process, have served to keep on vanguard the technology of glass-fused-to-steel and face the demanding current specifications. Its maintenance is practically zero except if it suffers some unexpected accident, only a preventive maintenance is required every 2-5 years depending on the kind of product and storage activity. In case that for any reason there is deterioration, the repair is extremely easy.
WHY BUILD A FACTORY LINED STEEL TANK?
ESP tanks provide the highest quality and lowest maintenance coating systems in the liquid storage tank industry. They are specifically engineered for exceptional corrosion control, abrasion resistance and a longer service life.
Higher Quality – Glass-fused-to-steel and high pressure thermichally modified epoxy coating systems.
Faster – The numerous factories of modular steel tanks allow a faster delievery and an easier assembly.
Lower cost – Competitive pricing and reduced maintenance costs provide significantly lower life cycle costs and subsequent savings over the tank life.
Flexibility – Capacities from 13 m3 to 45,000 m3. A wide variety of configurations are available.
Proven – Over a century of experience in designing, engineering and fabricating steel tanks. Over 250,000 tanks in over 125 countries worldwide.
